  • fala galera
  • To be honest, I don't care if they have a new vocalist, Ethan is the most important half of Crystal Castles and if he keeps making awesome beats and melodies, they will be great again, I'm sure! [11]
  • to be honest, it's kind of tight that he kicked out alice
  • ''on tour'', yeees i've been waiting for the moment they played live again

  • I think I've mostly been clinging to this kneejerk reaction to Alice splitting from CC and picking sides or whatever. Truth is I don't like being a hater, I just get caught up in being defensive. I should really just stop caring so much about what Ethan's intentions are and being so critical about Edith. I'm sure (IV) will be fine. I actually like Frail and Deicide, they just don't get me quite as excited as the first singles off (III) did. I guess that's why they aren't singles.
  • If you're talking about the cover, I remember her explaining what it meant and so I assumed that she chose it. I don't know what else you could be calling false, since the rest of what I said in that last comment was either speculation or stuff I know was true. But there's nothing to argue about anyway, since I can only speculate on how the next album will be.
  • @Microfoot Stop with the false facts. I don't even know where to begin correcting you and who cares just enjoy the music.
  • That's how it started, but she seemed to become more involved over the course of their career. On the third album's tour, there was at least one song where she was working the electronics alongside Ethan (so maybe she worked on that album's sound in a more hands-on sense than before. I don't really know for sure). She chose the cover photo for that album as well. So far it seems Ethan has reclaimed 100% control of the creative process and he likely regards Edith as little more than a replacement. That's what I find concerning. Based on that Facebook post he made last year minimizing Alice's role, he seems to regret making CC a collaborative process with her. I hope I'm wrong and Edith is able to contribute more than just vocals to the next album.
