  • it reminds me of Motorsycho Nightmare in which he goes through a huge story very detailed then in the last part of each song the simple moral is revealed. kinda makes you grin, lol
  • The moral of this story, the moral of this song, is simply that one should not be where one does not belong. The last verse is the best.
  • So when you see your neighbor carrying something help him with his load.
  • Don't go mistaking paradise for that home across the road....
  • i don't call it anything, said Frankie Lee with a smile.... I once knew a sailboat building fella, wore a fedora all the time, who while normally tending to stammer a little, could recite these lyrics perfectly from memory, especially when a little high. I think it's one of Bob's best.
  • I just can't understand this song, it's bizarre in its use of dialogue, it has no real hints about its symbolic content, it truly stretches the language to its extremes. But how i love it...
  • these chords become hypnotic after the first two minutes or so
  • ever written, bit strong TheFat.........whatever?
  • Probably one of the most interesing & accomplished three-chord songs ever written! It's a long song for just three of 'em, but they never once get old...
  • a song to skip and frolic to
