As I've been scrobbling my music (that sounds both dirty and British) it seems more hiphop than anything has been the constant. Makes sense as it's been a big part of my musical life. Here's a few things I think of when I think of my relationship with the hiphop.

In no particular order outside of when I typed them...

    Hearing

Rapper's Delightfor the first time as a goofy seven yr old in 1979 at Antoinette Washington's folks house party. That Chic sample along with the rhymes of WonderMike, Big Bank Hank and the one they call the Master Gee hooked me like a trout, and I've been dangling on the line ever since...

The first songs I ever taped off the radio (KPOO 89.5 with the Baron "diggin' deep for the beat" and KK rotating into the pilot seat for "another soulful Sunday afternoon) were It's Tricky Roxanne Roxanne Little did I know how many finger blisters I'd get trying to stop the tape before the dj started talking...yeah, you know you did it too...
