Funny enough dupiruka, I just listened to The Theory of Everything...top notch stuff! The entire atmosphere of it felt very prog rock, but unlike neo-prog bands, Arjen knows how to make things feel modern and fresh at the same time. As a fan of both modern prog and classic prog, that's an impressive achievement.
Universal Migrator is seriously blowing my fucking mind! I like the difference between styles on both discs, too. Awesome organ lines, stunning vocals, strong rhythms, captivating lead guitar effects...loving every minute!
Personally "01011001" and "The Universal Migrator part 1" are my favorite albums... don't really feel the connection to "The Human Equation" and "The Theory of Everything", though it's still levels above most music nowadays.
The Theory of Everything isn't as bombastic as his other albums, both in story and songwriting. It's written with a bit more Intermission like passages. Also it's a bit underwhelming with the number of singers. There are some damn great melodies and harmonies though. It's definitely far from unforgettable though.
