Great band and nice point from comment below about King Crimson. If you haven't heard the first 4-5 albums (KC) do so accept LastFm has shit for them for some reason. When ever I type in King Crimson it doesn't play anything. Anyway thanks god for bands like this keeping music of today alive
love it--reminds me of the art rock of my distant youth...for about 20 years there, from 1980 to 2000, there was no music like this. It was all tedious, cautious, pretentious. This reminds me of--who? Hmmm. Well, they sound completely unalike, but the approach, the emotional tone, the risk taking is all the same as--ready for this? The King Krimson of the '70s. Not the crap the band became. Oh! And the Blue Oyster Cult--again, of the '70s and then only the first 3 or 4 albums. Oh-OH! Amon Duel II, an arty German band. Again, they got cautious as they aged, but the first--what? six albums? I remember Vive la Trance was their last good LP (that's what we used to call 'em: LPs).
