Bummed that Frank has pretty much stopped posting/showing interest in Perfume anymore. His YT channel is just about pipe smoking now

444 was spotted at the LA Perfume show, dressed as Vitamin Drop Kashiyuka. A friend went up to him to ask him to sign something and he asked to be referred to as Gus.

He's on the new "From Nippon to the World" series of short clips for the new Shiina Ringo app on the clip NIPPON #7. Good thing is that he can't delete it cause it's EMI property. He might end up on the next Ringo clips blu ray haha!

Yeah I see that, thanks for the update. I've been too busy to keep up with him, but I think he just needs to stop caring what the fandom thinks, maybe even what Perfume staff thinks

They're not even releasing these Blu-rays with Limited or purposely straggling their releases (Fan service [bitter] through 3rd Tour JPN all being released on August 14th). Given the trend I'm sure World Tour One will be in Blu-ray soon, but will you wait? It would make more sense to say they'd lose money by not releasing it in both formats simultaneously, given that HD is standard in Japan more than anywhere else and that there's more profit margin with the higher sticker price. Given it's a bad move to the fans but DVD is hardly a dead format and we don't have the full story as to WHY Blu-ray was not released earlier.

Noone forced you to buy anything Frank, and the Blu-rays would be priced at a higher price anyway, given production costs. Blu-ray weren't even common for production use for most popular Japanese artists until 2010-2011, and you forget that Perfume changed labels in February 2012, meaning that months before this, it was already in motion that any plans to release Tokyo Dome or previous concerts on Blu-ray were probably put on hold until further development. You could criticize that it took them 16 months to release these Blu-rays after changing labels, but that's only for JPN & World Tour One that they had a choice and chose not to.

v wait till whatever anniversary.... then you can buy even more of the same stuff you already have! I've noticed this about Japan's music scene in general, not just Perfume.

I never intended for Franky to leave again. I was hoping more people would post comments adding to the discussion but it's fine. I know he wanted some moral support but there was only so much I agree with him, I miss the days when he'd just make funny videos or showed off his new purchases instead of overfixating on the gross revenue that goes into Perfume Co. How is any of it our business? They're an entertainment group and they're not obligated to give us anything beyond what we paid for, and these last 12 months we've gotten plenty. We had international PTA membership, Blu-rays, official Youtube channel, Asia/Europe world tours; besides the overpriced limited JPN tour dvd, what more could you ask for? Do the few negatives really outweigh the mostly positive things?

Like I stated before, buy what you can afford and put your money where your mouth is. I doubt they'd make limited packaging if people weren't willing to shell out extra for them and they know it. Does it make you any less of a fan for not buying limited if it's overpriced? I don't think so, but maybe others will. I've never let someone's collection of an artist's work mean anything besides that they were just willing to invest that much more money into it.

For an electro pop group though? I doubt they were even mic'ing the audience and honestly in an objective sound mix, you wouldn't want to hear the audience singing along pitch perfect vocals. It'd mean separate mixes for each concert too and I could see them doing it for one or two so far but not for all of them.

Franky when did you get so hung up on money, noone will think lesser of you if you don't buy every single item Perfume releases. People forget sometimes it's a business, and Perfume & Co. aren't any different than most. We could argue this as greedy, but the fans have spending power and where they put their money is where a company will try to profit from. If Perfume was struggling with sales, I'd understand they'd do more to attract attention at a lower price point but that's really not the case. I'm sure the more popular they become we'll see less price reduction and more expensive concerts. I'm glad they haven't gotten to the point where we have 3-4 versions of albums, an excessive amount of merch, or best-of albums every 5 years
