    i agree, ribarldy. i am envious though. i didn't discover Big Black until 1990. they scared the shit out of me initially. to wear their t shirt would have been fantastic. i had to sport a Dead Kennedys and a Skrewdriver t-shirt.

    I loved my Dad, so I'd say that Steve Albini was like the big brother I never had. Certainly wearing a Big Black T-shirt on my first day of high school (in 1992, I'm old now) helped introduce me to the cool older kids, and the powerful noise thereby associated helped me find my way through a turbulent adolescence, with the knowledge that there was a whole interesting world of music and other stuff waiting out there if I made it through the bullshit times of high school. Thanks to Steve Albini for making the world a better place. I am not all being sarcastic here, just so you know.
