Try The Knife, Anjali, Tracy + The Plastics Sally Shapiro, Bertine Zetlitz and Come and Get It, which is the best electropop album I've EVER heard. Strange but true.

  • New Young Pony Club! That's alls I can think of for female, but some of Peaches is very like what you like. And Mount Sims is reaaaaal good.

I've got the time if you've got the time.
  • thanks both of you

heard some peaches a while ago and i really didn't like it.

rachel stevens? if you say so... >_>

  • uh, i checked out the previews for the artists mentioned and it's not really what i'm after. guess i should've been more specific.

i'm after some stuff that's kinda hyper and.. fun. something that doesn't take itself too seriously. kinda like electroclash, only with more emphasis on good songs than aesthetics.

i dunno, i can't describe things well. check out the artists i mentioned (specifically, thermostatic) and you'll know what i mean

that said, anjali and new young pony club both sounded pretty cool and i'll definitely check them out

  • how 'bout "broadcast" ??

    [...bla bla bla...]
  • I also like Freezepop and some Ladytron. I would recommed Bis, especially their later stuff.

For lighter dancepop stuff, check out Your Beautiful Lie or Sedgwick.

For uptempo with a little bite/edge on it, try Perverse or Coming Clean.

I sincerely believe you'll enjoy at least a couple of these.

    check diz out

A solo project in experimental music
    bringing different styles together
    Not following any one genre
but using influences from them all
to make the fresh new sound that is muzopia.

    The Muzopia Sound
This sound can only be accomplished
By breaking as many rules as possible
Through doing this muzopia has become
More and more innovative and diverse
Yet the sound is unmistakably muzopia

    Latin electro-pop

Try Moenia. It's a Mexican electro-pop trio very popular all over Latin America. Even if you don't understand their lyrics (they'r written and sung in Spanish), I'm sure you'll enjoy their DM-like sound. And from Colombia, there's a very popular band from the late 80's and the 90's: "Estados Alterados" (Altered States). At the beginning they're very electo-pop but their last works evolved towards a very tasty fussion with latin rythms.

I would also add Goldfrapp to the list.
