    Artist connection suggestions

    Dresden Dolls
    McLusky
    Coachwhips
    Happy Flowers
    Melt-Banana
    The Bran Flakes

  • I'll have to check them out, I've never heard of any of them. Added them to the connections list.

Oh, then lemme try that again:

    Dresden Dolls

    McLusky

    Coachwhips

    Happy Flowers

    Melt-Banana

    Bran Flakes

... specialising in the obscure and the impossible ...

  • All of them seemed to connect to the right artists the first time... at least they all link to active pages and our group appears on then now. Melt-Banana sounds interesting, I'm going to have to look for more. Their cover of We Will Rock You on ITunes is... definitive!

  • Melt Banana! I first heard them 2 or 3 years ago via a japanese friend. Split your brain Jap-pop meditation...

  • I remember the first time I heard Cibo Matto's "White Pepper Ice Cream". My head almost exploded. That Japanese music is fucking dangerous.

If you haven't seen it, you must go here immediately, click on "MOV," and watch the video for Cibo Matto's "Sugar Water." Sorry it's so teensy.

    Hweimei (only 1/4 Japanese)

  • Eris help me! The Buildings are ChaNginG into CocOnut trEes...

    (La la la... lalala lalala)

I knew Gondry had directed some videos, but I didn't know he did so many. Thanks for the link.

oh, and I love Melt-Banana! I have been listening to them for years and saw them play for the first time this year.

McLusky is a tasty treat. Luv 'Lightsaber Cock-Sucking Blues'.

Perhaps Frog Eyes? Rather odd group, them.
Tenacious D at least...Think of the 'Wierd' factor. Richard Cheese for the sheer wierdness of his rendition of 'Enter Sandman'.

Ugh-I don't really listen to Discordianish music. I'm more of a chilled out meditation musicish person mixed with hardcore and speed-metal.
    You've gotta keep the balance.

  • Hooray!

Some artists that in my opinion have a Discordian element:
Curt Kirkwood. Check some of his live shows here. He has the habit of drifting from a standard songwriter's song to strange, freaky, blurry semi-acoustic-guitar sounds.
Funny van Dannen. His lyrics are great. They are German, though.
Mano Solo. I don't know, I just think he fits in here. He's French, though.

    The Legendary Pink Dots

I am in shock and awe that they are not already a connection.

    !

  • I'll throw out another vote for Richard Cheese, and the Lounge against the Machine

"Scissor Sisters" are kinda wierd in a fun way. Their disco remake of "comfortably numb" is awesome...

  • Mr. Bungle.

    Also, Fantomas.

    Anything involving Mike Patton, really.

  • BUCKETHEAD!

    Eläkeläiset a Finnish Humppa(=Polka) band.

  • I'd say The Residents.

    dude

Ani DiFranco. An eloquent pissed off Eris, standing broadly and bravely in the centre of America and being fucking alive at all cost. She is so choice and the latter day avatar of counterculture. I mean, saying that Curtis Mayfield made the greatest album in the wurld and then smilingly surpassing Dylan, the Beatles and the fucking Residents (though they are good and decidedly discordian) on every record and show (at least since 99!
