Little Boots hails from the North West England, and has been one of the overnight successes in British Pop in 2009. Picking up a cult following with her Tenori-On covers (Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill', Blur's 'To The End', and 'Day and Nite' by Kid Cudi all got the bedroom treatment), she soon found herself booked on UK tastemaker Jools Holland's Later... show and in the pages of Rolling Stone as 'one to watch'.
Hot new artist (85°F)
As she quickly moved from lo-fi bedroom clips to big-budget, glossy pop-gloss videos, Little Boots' fans adjusted well: 'New In Town' — which featured on the Jennifer's Body soundtrack — 'Remedy' and 'Earthquake' all got high scrobble counts as their videos went live. Recently 'Stuck on Repeat' has shot to the top of the chart, after featuring in trailers for the latest series of Heroes, among others, while the track's Fake Blood Remix also crept into her Top Ten.
Little Boots spent much of 2009 on tour and more than 30,000 of you turned out to see her. Playing Summer festivals back-to-back, she will close the year on a solo tour before returning with new material next year.
